Mack Industries is looking for motivated individuals to join our growing Septic Service Division. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the septic industry.


You'll begin by cleaning and maintaining BK filters used in our wastewater treatment systems while learning the fundamentals of septic service. As you develop your skills, you'll receive paid, hands-on training with the opportunity to advance into a Septic Service Field Technician role, performing maintenance, repairs, and service for residential and commercial customers.


Mack Industries provides all training required for this position.

Essential Functions

  • Clean, inspect, and maintain BK filters used in wastewater treatment systems. 
  • Safely handle, transport, and dispose of filter materials while following company safety procedures. 
  • Learn septic system components and service procedures through on-the-job training. 
  • Progress into performing maintenance and repairs on residential and commercial septic pump systems, control systems, and aeration systems. 
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance. 
  • Safely operate company-owned vehicles. 
  • Report all motor vehicle operation (MVO) and field safety concerns to management.      
  • Serve as a company representative by providing excellent customer service and communicating with residential and commercial customers. 
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn septic and pump systems. 
  • Develop new skills while continuing to improve existing abilities. 
  • Assist other departments as needed. 

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  • Must be at least 21 years old. 
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. 
  • Basic mechanical aptitude is preferred but not required. 
  • Basic electrical or plumbing knowledge is a plus but not required. 
  • Customer service experience is a plus. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. 
  • Ability to squat, kneel, crawl, and work outdoors in all weather conditions. 
  • Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and grow. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
