Seeking Charge Nurse!
Baptist Health Floyd, Labor and Delivery
Full-time (36 Hours Weekly), Nights (7pm-7am)

Job Duties:
Responsible for acting as a resource nurse for the department. This is an entry-level leadership position responsible for the coordination of care on designated shifts. He/she will provide leadership to the staff members of the unit in the area of patient care. This position will work alongside the team and provide direct patient care while determining needed staffing fluctuations during shifts, responding to departmental concerns, address immediate staff issues and coordinate patient flow. This position has immediate oversight of employees while performing the same or directly related work as those the position leads.
About the Department:
Labor and Delivery is made up of eight labor and delivery suites, two triage bays, two operating rooms and two recovery bays with wireless monitoring capabilities. Natural birthing options such as nitrous oxide, laboring tubs, and birthing balls available. On average, there are around 1,000 births annually. A minimum of 1 year RN experience required.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an approved nursing program, holding a minimum of an ASN.
Current Indiana or compact state RN license.
BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
NRP certification required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
ACLS certification required (obtained within 6 months of hire).
S.T.A.B.L.E certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
Low Risk Neonatal Nursing RNC-LRN (National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing Specialties) required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
One year of nursing experience required; One year of experience in area of specialty preferred.
Professional/Specialty certification required as per unit/department standards.
