Job description

Job Title: Servicing & Collections Associate

Employer: Sound Royalties

Classification: Full-Time- non- exempt

Location: West Palm Beach, FL (Hybrid)

Reports to: Servicing Manager

About the role:

We are looking for an entry-level candidate who is eager to grow and develop within the music and entertainment finance industry. This role offers hands-on training and the opportunity to learn new processes from the ground up. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and excited to build a career within a fast-growing company.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Daily royalty collection identification and classification
  • Backup Calculation of excess collections due back to customers
  • Backup Determination of cross-collateralization between customer accounts
  • Backup Upload Overflow and statements to PaymentHub
  • Backup Upload previous day Overflows, and Cross Collateralizations into Master and upload to Margill
  • Investigate royalty shortfalls and surplus
  • Investigate missing royalty payments
  • YouTube Product - Statement processing and set up of cash flows / payment requests
  • Keep track of Litigation Deals
  • Keep Track of Delinquency / Diverted Deals - Apply resulting Fees
  • Keep Track of servicing cases
  • Keep track and send Repurchase letters and follow up on Matured Deal Payor Releases
  • Handle collection, overflow and statement inquiries from Royalty Support and Sales
  • Work closely with Operations regarding changes / updates to deals after funding
  • Month end reporting and reconciliations
  • Ad-Hoc servicing reporting
  • Assist with Audit information requests
  • Assist Accounting Department when required

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or financial operations. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic to Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation
  • Ability to manage multiple open items and follow up consistently without supervision
  • Comfortable learning and navigating new financial systems and platforms
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented operations environment

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
  • Eagerness to learn financial systems and processes in a structured environment
  • Background in fintech, financial services, or lending operations
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (preferred, not required)
