Position Summary
Contributes to the success of Buckman's digital strategy by collaborating with the digital team, stakeholders and external partners on initiatives and successfully completing work on regional/global projects.
Key Outcomes/Responsibilities
Successfully completes work to support the completion of complex global digital projects that positively impact the customer experience and increase the adoption of digital solutions.
  • Serves as a technical leader (software and/or hardware) on at least one digital project ensuring technical problems and challenges are resolved.
  • Completes aligned work throughout the entire life cycle of product development, including idea generation, rapid prototyping to develop MVP candidates, product development, and commercial deployment.
  • Completes analyses and creates key documentation (e.g. project and resource plan) to support and advance the project during the phase gate process.
  • Works with external partners and reviews SOW technical documentation to ensure clarity and completeness.
  • Delivers outcomes in one of these focus areas: sensor development, automation and controls, back end development , front end development, IoT development, data engineering, data analytics, mobile development, or data science.

For Digital Insights Lab Associates: Performs key tasks in monitoring, troubleshooting and resolving sales associate problems/issues.
  • Resolves sales associate's questions or problems with the Ackumen platform (e.g., technical process questions, problem resolution with an account, how to complete a certain task).
  • Monitors and triages Ackumen alarms for customer chemical usage and takes appropriate action as needed (resolution of problem, notification of sales associate to respond to issue).
  • Responds and escalates service requests from sales associates to the appropriate tier of support.
Basic Qualifications
  • B.S. or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related engineering / technical field plus 3 years experience
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the core concepts in one or more focus areas (sensor development, automation and controls, back end, front end, native application dev, data science, etc.) with some limited experience applying them to real world situations. Plus, demonstrates in-depth knowledge in at least one focus area.
  • M.S. (or equivalent experience) in in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related engineering / technical field plus one year experience.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the core concepts in one or more focus areas (sensor development, automation and controls, back end, front end, native application dev, data science, etc.) with some limited experience applying them to real world situations.
