Job Description

We are seeking entry-level talent to be trained as an SEO Associate. Sosemo is one of the leading SEO agencies in New York and our Google rankings for "SEO Agency" proves it. Therefore, this is a rare opportunity to learn from the very best.

The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial-spirited, highly detail-oriented, have exceptional problem solving skills along with prior knowledge of or demonstrated interests in SEO.

Our office is located at 26 Broadway. In addition to working with a stellar team, our office has beautiful common areas, weekly yoga/meditation classes, and free snacks and coffee. Please note: our office is following all CDC and state guidelines. ***Employees currently have the option to work remotely, though you will be asked to work in-office on an as needed basis. An average of 2-3 day/week should be expected.***

Duties & Responsibilities  

  • Demonstrates value against all initiatives by providing insights to manager
  • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, internal linking and other factors to improve organic visibility for priority topics
  • Perform ongoing keyword research, optimization and tracking
  • Monitor KPIs regularly to understand SEO strategy performance
  • Active monitoring and sharing of industry news, SEO trends and innovative new tools
  • Utilize Excel and other data visualization tools to isolate trends and develop insights
  • Self-manage execution of activities against deadlines across multiple work-streams
  • Perform competitive research to identify content gaps and technical strategies to improve client performance
Qualifications
  • 4-year college degree (marketing, computer science, or related field preferred)
  • Minimum of one internship in a related industry
  • Passion for digital marketing and entrepreneurship
  • Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to support and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be able to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be highly detail-oriented
  • Must have basic knowledge of website structure 
  • Must have working knowledge of social networking sites (YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, X)
  • Must have working knowledge of search engines (Google, and Microsoft) in relation to SEO campaigns 
  • Exposure to optimizing websites including elements like: metadata, on-page copy is a plus 
  • Experience with any of the following is a plus: Screaming frog, SEM rush, Ahrefs, google analytics, google search console
