Job description

Mower is a fiercely independent, 100% employee-owned, full-service advertising, marketing, and public relations agency with team members located across the United States. Our team is seeking an Assistant Account Executive, PR amp; PA to support public relations, public affairs and influencer marketing programs for agency clients. This entry-level role is ideal for a strong writer, curious researcher and organized communicator who is interested in media relations, influencer engagement, client service and integrated communications campaigns.
Essential Duties amp; Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of public relations, public affairs and influencer marketing programs across multiple client accounts.
  • Participate in client discussions with agency leadership and help facilitate appropriate strategies and tactics.
  • Support engagement with traditional media, emerging media, creators and social influencers.
  • Develop compelling pitch angles, research the media landscape and support efforts to secure editorial coverage.
  • Monitor traditional, digital and emerging media trends and help keep Mowerโ€™s media and influencer databases current.
  • Bring new ideas, timely insights and creative thinking to account teams on a regular basis.
  • Collaborate with PR/PA leadership and play an active role in executing client programs.
  • Work in a coordinated fashion with account, creative, social, media and strategy teams.
  • Draft and edit written materials, including media pitches, press materials, briefing documents, status reports and client updates.
  • Learn and apply Associated Press Stylebook guidelines, SEO best practices and agency writing standards.
  • Support influencer marketing programs, including research, outreach, tracking and reporting.
  • Help manage special events, media opportunities and client activation programs.
  • Think visually and identify opportunities to communicate through video, photography, graphics and social content.
  • Use agency tools to monitor, measure and report on client programs.
  • Stay current on client industry developments, communications trends and leading PR/PA practices.
  • Maintain client status reports and support measurement and tracking documents.
  • Manage multiple priorities and timelines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Educational Requirements amp; Qualifications
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in public relations, influencer marketing, communications, or a similar discipline.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required.
  • Internship or professional experience in public relations, communications, influencer marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, editing, research and organizational skills.
  • Solid verbal communication skills and comfort participating in meetings.
  • Ability to manage multiple timelines and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in media trends, influencer marketing, creator culture and evolving communications platforms.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset and willingness to learn.

Pay Range: $20 - 29 hourly

*Salary differential is based on seniority, merit, education, training and experience.
