Job description

The Role - Associate, Integrated Media Planning

The Associate, Integrated Media Planning assists in the coordination and execution of media plans under the guidance of a Senior Associate. This is an entry-level position for individuals who are eager to learn about the foundations of media planning and execution across multiple channels. The Associate is responsible for gathering data to support media recommendations, updating client media activity flowcharts, assisting the team in responding to client needs, preparing purchase authorizations by coordinating input from internal teams, and/or assisting with tracking media expenditures to ensure budget compliance. At an entry-level, the Associate will begin to develop a working knowledge of the media space (all channels) and available media research

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Strategy team in development of cross channel media plans through research, audience analysis, historical data, and competitive insights
  • Own and maintain planning documents, trackers, and flowcharts with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. This also includes assisting the team to create client facing documents
  • Pull and analyze competitive research
  • Support budget tracking, pacing, and monthly financial reporting to ensure campaigns are accurately tracked, actualized, and billed
  • Communicate proactively with team members to flag questions, risks, or discrepancies
  • Participate in internal, client, and partner meetings, building confidence and presentation skills
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with strategy, investment, analytics, operations teams and creative agencies
  • Demonstrate curiosity and actively build knowledge of the media landscape and finance category
  • Participate in training sessions that will enhance growth and knowledge within the media space  

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in Advertising, Marketing, Communications or related field 
  • Knowledge of the principles of advertising, marketing, and media 
  • Proficiency with Office Suite 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • 0-1 year of relevant experience (internships included)
  • Strong interest in media, advertising, consumer behaviors
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Eagerness to learn media tools, platforms, and financial processes
