Looking to break into the automotive industry? Mazda & Kia of Fargo is looking for a motivated Entry-Level Automotive Technician to join our award-winning service team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in becoming an Automotive Service Technician while gaining paid, hands-on experience in a professional dealership environment.

Whether you’re a recent trade school graduate, currently attending an automotive program, or simply passionate about working on vehicles, our experienced technicians will provide the mentorship and training you need to build a successful career.

  • Part-time schedule with late afternoon and Saturday hours

  Responsibilities
  • Perform oil and filter changes according to manufacturer specifications
  • Inspect vehicles and complete multi-point inspections
  • Check and top off engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, washer fluid, and other essential fluids
  • Verify and adjust tire pressure
  • Rotate tires as assigned
  • Replace drain plugs, oil filters, air filters, cabin filters, and wiper blades
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Learn proper repair procedures from experienced technicians
  • Safely operate shop equipment and tools
  • Deliver quality workmanship while providing an exceptional customer experience
  Qualifications
  • Interest in pursuing a career as an Automotive Service Technician
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Automotive school or previous shop experience is a plus, but not required
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Positive attitude and dependable work ethic
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet throughout the shift
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Must have basic hand tools
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
