Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspect and maintain manufacturing machinery and equipment
• Interpret schematics, prints, diagrams, and oral instructions and apply them to the task at hand.
• Troubleshoot and identify hazards and diagnose malfunctioning systems
• Perform corrective, preventive maintenance & calibrations
• Prepare new machines and production equipment for operation.
• Disassemble machines and repairs or replaces broken parts
• Perform welding, grinding, and flame cutting activities
• Able to work as part of a team and contribute to the maintenance team and facility in general.
• Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems and production machines and equipment using testing instruments, hand / power tools and precision-measuring instruments.
• Operation of tool room equipment (lathe, mill, drill presses, etc.)
• Maintain safe and clean working environment
• Comply with company procedures, rules, and regulations
• All other duties as assigned by Supervision
QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years experience as an industrial maintenance technician/machine repairman or associated work
• Strong verbal and oral communication skills
• Ability to read blueprints/design schematics
• Ability to work in a strong safety-focused environment
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems
• Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
Preferred:
• Experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
• Relevant certifications
• Proven problem-solving & critical thinking skills
