Department: Building Maintenance

Shift Hours: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Status: Full-time/ Day/ 80 Hours Per Pay/ 8-hour shifts

Facility: Miami Valley Hospital

 

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Manager of Maintenance, performs preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, repairs, installations, replacements and tests. General Mechanic operates engines, boilers, pumps, air compressors, air conditioning equipment, heating and ventilating systems, steam lines, valves, control, building systems, production equipment and systems and maintenance support equipment.


 

EDUCATION
  • Minimal Level of Education Required: High School Completion/GED
  • Preferred educational qualifications: Courses of study related to Maintenance field
 EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum Level of Experience Required: 1-3 years' job-related experience
  • Prior job title or occupational experience: - Maintenance Experience
  • Preferred experience: Hospital Maintenance Experience
 KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
  • Able to analyze a given situation and make minor decisions.
  • Familiar with equipment, tools, methods, and techniques normally associated with maintenance work
