ELECTRICIAN/ FULL-TIME/ 80 HRS PER PAY PERIOD/ 7:30A-4P/WEEKENDS & HOLIDAYS

Job Title: Electrician 

Unit: Building Maintenance

Shift: 7:30 am-4:00 pm / Weekends & Holidays

Status: Full-time/ 80 Hours Per Pay

Facility: Miami Valley Hospital North

An Electrician is responsible for performing a wide range of electrical repairs, preventive maintenance, monitoring, and testing of electrical equipment.  Responsible for the upkeep, operation, cleanliness, and safety of all electrical equipment associated with the infrastructure of the hospital. Ensures JCAHO requirements are completed. Repair and pm work could include fire alarm, electrical distribution, tube system, intercom, various electrical equipment, etc. Participates in department and craft meetings and uses correct safety work habits. Must be available and onsite for all emergencies, shut-downs or repairs as requested. 

Demonstrates prompt and courteous services to customers and is able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff within the organization. Executes independent judgment under the implied guidelines of Premier Health's quality, customer satisfaction, positive work environment and financial stewardship goals. 

Education

Minimum Level of Education Required:  High School completion / GED

Additional requirements:

Preferred educational qualifications: Associate degree, Technical School or Apprentice program graduate preferred

Licensure/Certification/Registration 

Journeyman License preferred 

Experience

Minimum Level of Experience Required:  1 - 3  years of job-related experience

Prior job title or occupational experience: Minimum of two years working in the electrical trade.

Prior specific functional responsibilities: General construction/ maintenance experience on plumbing systems, electrical systems, HVAC carpentry and/or mechanical systems.

Preferred experience: Hospital maintenance experience preferred
