About the Role:

As a Maintenance Director at Shelby Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our facility. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Managing a team of maintenance staff to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks

  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth operations and maintenance of equipment and facilities

  • Conducting routine inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems

  • Developing and implementing maintenance schedules and budgets

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct maintenance staff to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks

  • Inspect and maintain facility equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime

  • Identify and address potential safety hazards and develop corrective actions to mitigate risks

  • Develop and manage budgets for maintenance and capital projects

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and problem-solving

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in a maintenance or management role (training provided for the right candidate!)

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
