RESPONSIBILITIES * QUALIFICATIONS
Join our Plant Maintenance team as a Maintenance Technician supporting our manufacturing operation in Fountain Inn, South Carolina. In this role you will install, troubleshoot, service and repair both electrical and mechanical plant equipment.
You will be responsible for performing the following duties:
  • Understand and follow all safety procedures.
  • Mechanically and electrically troubleshoot and repair equipment including pumps, motors, gearboxes, plastic extruders and other production equipment.
  • Perform equipment PMs and complete work order documentation using CMMS software.
  • Assist in training entry level team members. Able to carry out assignments with minimum supervision.
  • Use electrical test equipment to test electrical circuits and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot AC and DC motors and motor drives.
  • Understand PLC operations, troubleshooting and ladder logic diagrams.
  • Read and interpret documentation such as electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematics, manuals and technical bulletins.
  • Operate a forklift, scissor lift and boom lift.
  • Operate maintenance shop equipment and hand tools
  • Plan and organize individual work.
  • Perform work in a timely manner.
  • Maintain good housekeeping throughout plant and shop.
  • This requires occasional operation of company vehicle/truck, valid driver's license required.
  • Other duties and related responsibilities as required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondences. Ability to speak effectively.

Education and/or work experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience and Associates degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly to others.
