Position Overview

Merit Industries, an AS9100-certified precision machining company specializing in close-tolerance components and assemblies for aerospace and defense applications, is seeking motivated **Entry-Level Machine Operators / Machinists** to join our production team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals starting their career in manufacturing to learn high-precision CNC and manual machining in a supportive environment. You will operate machines under supervision, load/unload parts, perform basic inspections, and contribute to producing critical aerospace parts while developing skills toward advanced roles (e.g., CNC setup, tool making). No prior machining experience required—we provide on-the-job training for the right candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts into/out of CNC mills, lathes, and other production equipment safely and efficiently.

- Operate machines according to established programs and instructions to produce precision components.

- Monitor machine operations during cycles to detect issues such as tool wear, malfunctions, or deviations from specifications.

- Perform basic in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify part dimensions meet tolerances.

- Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and setup sheets to ensure consistent quality.

- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to 5S principles and company safety protocols.
