Job description

Position Summary: An entry-level Lease Operator position where the primary purpose is to maintain optimum performance from equipment, meeting company standards for appearance and upkeep of assets. The Lease Operator I performs repairs and maintenance, completes required documentation accurately and timely, while adhering to company policies and procedures, including environment, safety and regulatory. May be required to work overtime, nights, weekends and some holidays based on a predetermined work schedule.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for repairing and maintaining equipment used in oil/gas operations.
  • Performs operational checks and repairs of lease roads and pads.
  • Performs necessary inspections on vessels, PSV valves, and pipes in order to assure all equipment is operating and functioning properly.
  • Operates heavy equipment including skid-steer and excavator.
  • Maintains reports detailing items repaired.
  • Makes necessary repairs on equipment to ensure minimal downtime while also considering company environment, safety and health objectives. Performs general site maintenance including site clean-up and minor facility repairs.
  • Adheres to all EHS guidelines and requirements. Will be expected to perform site safety shutdowns as well as report any spills, complete daily Job Safety Analysis, Lock Out Tag Out and Confined Space reports as required.
  • Continually improve the operations through collaboration with other key departments/personnel
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Minimum Experience: 1+ year of applicable experience preferred including experience operating heavy equipment such as a skid-steer and excavator.
Professional Certifications/Training Required: Current drivers' license with no restrictions; must be able to drive; CDL is preferred
Skills: Basic computer knowledge, good visual and auditory levels, self-starter with ability to work independently, troubleshooting and problem solving, strong mechanical aptitude

Working Conditions: Working conditions vary based on the location of the work performed. Work performed in an office is typically in a climate controlled indoor setting. Work performed in the field may require the employee to be subjected to seasonal field conditions ranging from normal to extreme temperature and weather conditions and employees must be able to work in remote, isolated areas.
