JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITIONS INCLUDE: Applicants will be considered for any open entry level non-skilled general labor positions

Schedule: Monday - Friday with possible Saturday's

Hours (depending on department): B Shift ranges from 230pm - until finished

Starting Pay - $21.10/HR (plus $1.00 shift differential for B Shift)

This position performs entry-level general labor duties in a production environment while maintaining a safe work environment and complying with all Tyson policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Work with knives as required while wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Team members are encouraged to dress appropriately before arriving at their workstation.

Work Environment

  • Production-line environment.
  • Cold-temperature work areas (36F-42F).
  • Exposure to food-processing equipment and moving conveyors.
  • Required use of PPE and safety equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able and willing to work in temperatures ranging from approximately 36F to 42F.
  • Must be able and willing to stand and/or walk for 8-12 hours per shift on a production line.
  • Must be able and willing to use a pinch grip to pick products from a conveyor, place products into trays, and return products to the conveyor.
  • Must be able and willing to reach approximately 10-25 inches to remove products from conveyors, arrange products according to specifications, and place trayed products onto designated conveyors.
  • Must be able and willing to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able and willing to stand for extended periods on concrete, grating, or fiberglass ergonomic platforms.
  • Must be able and willing to apply light force while performing assigned tasks.
  • Must be able and willing to use both hands simultaneously to perform job functions.
  • Must be able and willing to perform repetitive hand, arm, and upper-body movements throughout the work shift.
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime and weekends, as required.
  • Must be able and willing to work with knives, as required, while wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
