Your role and responsibilities
As an Associate Application Consultant at IBM you will help us usher clients into a new age of future-looking technology. You'll be assisting clients in the selection, implementation, and support of applications, methodology, and tools. You'll be trained up to perform as an expert on existing and/or new applications specialized around things like Cloud, Blockchain, DevOp, Enterprise Applications, and Mobile. You will help our clients integrate enterprise-wide data for improved performance and efficiency. Leveraging a growth mindset, you're ready and willing to deliver business value, wherever needed.
Your ability to accelerate impact and make meaningful change for your clients is enabled by our strategic partner ecosystem and our robust technology platforms across the IBM portfolio, including IBM's Software and Red Hat.
Design, configure, implement, and support Enterprise Application Integration solutions that enable seamless data and process flow across business applications. Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver reliable integration solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, test, deploy, and support integration solutions using EAI and middleware platforms.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into integration designs.
  • Build and maintain APIs, connectors, workflows, and data mappings.
  • Monitor integration performance and troubleshoot incidents.
  • Participate in application upgrades, testing, and deployments.
  • Create technical documentation and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, vendors, and business stakeholders.

Required technical and professional expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of application development, integration, or consulting experience.
  • Knowledge of APIs, REST/SOAP services, messaging, and data integration concepts.
  • Experience with Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Understanding of SQL, cloud platforms, and software development practices.
  • Core Competencies: Technical Consulting, Integration Design, Problem Solving, Customer Focus, Collaboration, Continuous Learning
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Knowledge or interested in database development, as well as a curiosity in a wide range of cloud platforms, web markup languages, deploying. applications with container technology, and generative AI.
  • Exposure to web services, API, and multiple Java application frameworks highly desired.
  • Knowledge or interest in best practices around design patterns, performance tuning, automated and unit testing.
  • Preferred certifications: Associate Cloud Engineer Certification,Oracle Academy, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Foundations, Oracle Cloud ERP/HCM/SCM certifications.
  • Exposure to SQL/PLSQL, cloud basics, integration patterns (REST/SOAP APIs), data migration tools (FBDI, HDL), reporting tools (OTBI, BI Publisher), data visualization (Tableau, Power BI).
