Full Stack Java Developer Position

Charlotte, NC

Description

Job Summary

This team supports critical Operations Technology platforms aligned to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and transaction monitoring, with a strong focus on Actimize (App they own) and related systems. The group is responsible for maintaining, modernizing, and optimizing platforms that support regulatory compliance initiatives, including MRIA-driven remediation efforts.

The team is heavily focused on improving operational efficiency, reducing manual processes, and evaluating AI-driven capabilities to enhance transaction monitoring, risk identification, and system performance.

Core Responsibilities

• Support and maintain AML transaction monitoring platforms, primarily Actimize, including ongoing enhancements and operational stability

• Contribute to MRIA-related initiatives, partnering with Global Markets and compliance teams to improve transaction-level monitoring and regulatory alignment

• Drive reduction of manual processes through automation and AI-enabled solutions across operational workflows

• Support and participate in large-scale platform initiatives, including SQL Server upgrades and infrastructure modernization efforts

• Evaluate and implement enhancements to vendor products and internal systems to improve processing, accuracy, and performance

• Partner with architecture and engineering teams to ensure strong system integration and data flow across multiple platforms

• Assist in identifying key operational risks and developing technology solutions to address those risks

• Support ongoing vulnerability remediation efforts, including GIS-related accuracy and security initiatives

Responsible for developing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business goals.

Ensures that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.

Codes solutions, unit tests, and ensures the solution can be integrated successfully into the overall application/system with clear, robust and well-tested interfaces.

Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements.

Development of conceptual diagrams, process flows and technical architecture diagrams

Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems.

Leading, mentoring and coordinating on-site & offshore on project development

Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities.

Works with minimal supervision

• Participate in testing, validation, and replication of system functionality to ensure completeness and regulatory compliance
