GDH Consulting is looking for a System Test Engineer professional to work with a Fortune 500 company. 

Job Description

You will test end-to-end solutions using Spirent and Ixia. A strong knowledge of VMware Hypervisor will be required, as well as networking knowledge equivalent to a CCNA. Data Center knowledge is preferred, but not required. Python or scripting knowledge is a plus. This is a customer facing role in which a successful candidate will:

  • Consult with customers to author and revise test plans based upon the risk assessment
  • Perform setup and execution of customer specific tests
  • Consult with customers regarding the application and interpretation of test results
  • Perform analysis of network design
  • Build virtual networks in test labs to resolve more complex problems and issues 

Qualifications

Must haves:

  • Testing background
  • in depth troubleshooting
  • customer facing skills
  • general route/switch technology knowledge, preferably in a data center, but not necessary, especially if testing skills are strong
  • experience with IXIA and Spirent
