Job description

This entry level unionized role is critical to supporting site operations. Do you have previous industrial maintenance janitorial experience, if so, this could be the perfect role for you!

Morgan Advanced Materials is a world leader in advanced materials science and engineering of ceramics, carbon and composites. The Performance Carbon business of Morgan Advanced Materials makes high-performance self-lubricating bearing and seal components, predominantly used in pumps, industrial and domestic, or other sealing applications.

We use advanced carbon/graphite, silicon carbide, alumina and zirconia materials to engineer lightweight, low-friction bearings and seals. These materials help solve the problems associated with the use of lubricants in extreme temperatures, corrosive or hygienic environments where access is restricted, and are engineered into products which provide customer-specific solutions.

Major responsibilities are to perform various cleaning duties throughout a manufacturing plant.  Areas cleaned by this position include restrooms, showers, locker rooms, cafeterias, breakrooms and training rooms.  The maintenance janitor operates powered equipment to perform cleaning functions (floor scrubber) and move refuse containers inside/outside of the facility (fork lift). The role also empties scrap hoppers and dust collection systems regularly.  Physical requirements include lifting, squatting, reaching, climbing, twisting/turning, pushing/pulling, and walking.  


Candidates must be a US Person, defined as an individual that is a:

  • Citizen of the United States, or
  • Permanent resident alien of the United States, or
  • Protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) as defined by 22CFR120.15

High School diploma or GED required.  Prior janitorial/cleaner experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
