As of Jun 12, 2026, the average hourly pay for metro janitor in the United States is $15.89, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $13.70 and $17.55 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

Jobs that can pay $2,000 a day include high-level roles such as specialized surgeons, corporate executives, or successful entrepreneurs. Some freelance or consulting positions in finance, law, or technology may also reach this level with significant experience and client base. These roles often require advanced skills, certifications, or extensive industry experience.

What are some typical challenges metro janitors face, and how can they effectively manage them?

Metro janitors often work in high-traffic environments where cleanliness must be maintained despite constant use by commuters. Common challenges include managing litter during peak hours, handling biohazard incidents safely, and responding promptly to spills or maintenance issues. Effective time management, familiarity with safety protocols, and strong communication with other maintenance staff are essential for success. Many teams use shift rotations and checklists to ensure thorough coverage and compliance with health regulations.

What qualifications do I need to be a janitor?

To be a metro janitor, you typically need a high school diploma or equivalent. Basic skills in cleaning, attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to operate cleaning equipment are important; some positions may require background checks or safety training.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

A metro janitor typically does not earn $10,000 a month without a degree; most janitorial positions pay significantly less. High-paying cleaning or maintenance roles in specialized facilities or with additional skills may reach higher earnings, but such salaries are uncommon without advanced certifications or experience. Generally, jobs that pay $10,000 monthly without a degree are in sales, real estate, or entrepreneurship rather than janitorial work.
