Job description

Our Entry-Level Transportation Creative Studio Planners help to bring ideas to life. Our Creative Studio group, with over 20 visual designers, collaborates with senior staff to find the best ways to deliver this information to the audience. We work on materials that engage the public and assist clients in making informed decisions.

We're always eager to connect with creative designers interested in joining us to improve transportation communication.
Responsibilities
  • Transform complex transportation analysis into intuitive visuals for a broad range of applications, including data visualization, maps, final reports, presentations, and community engagement
  • Collaborate with project managers to determine the best way to deliver information
  • Support the development of creative work products for projects and competitive marketing pursuits
  • Collaborate with company-wide Creative Studio Planners to share and implement best practices in visual design and workflow
  • Maintain knowledge of design trends and inspiration; continually inject new ideas into our work

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
  • Excellent visual and written communication skills, with an emphasis on distilling complex information into relatable stories
  • Strong interpersonal skills, commitment to collaboration, and a creative approach to problem-solving
  • Portfolio demonstrating visual design capabilities

Additional Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with ESRI ArcGIS
  • Superior organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Passion for learning new industry standards and cutting-edge software programs
  • Internship or professional experience in the A/E/C or other consulting industry, urban planning, urban design, transportation planning, or the aptitude to pick it up quickly
  • Experience with 3D visualization, data visualization, illustration, UI/UX design, web design, and/or coding
  • General business marketing coursework or experience
