Senior Information Governance Analyst

Washington, DC Office

Salary: $100K - $125K


Leading Global Law Firm is searching for a Senior Information Governance Analyst to support and enhance information governance operations across the full data lifecycle.

This is a high-impact role working closely with legal teams, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and strengthen data governance practices. You’ll also act as a senior presence on the team, supporting workflow management and driving continuous improvement initiatives.


What You’ll Do:


  • Support and improve information governance operations, processes, and workflows
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and client data requirements
  • Manage lifecycle processes for electronic records, including preservation and defensible disposition
  • Administer and monitor IG systems, workflows, and data transfers across platforms
  • Partner with attorneys and business teams to support legal holds and data requests
  • Analyze operational issues and provide reporting and root cause insights to leadership
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for IG-related issues and tickets
  • Lead projects, support team training, and contribute to firmwide awareness initiatives
  • Ensure proper classification, metadata management, and security of sensitive data


What You Bring:


  • 4+ years of experience in Information Governance, Data Governance, eDiscovery, Legal Operations, or similar
  • Experience working in a law firm or legal services environment strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Purview, SharePoint, Mimecast, or workflow/automation platforms
  • Experience with document management systems (iManage, NetDocs, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of data privacy, compliance, and records management best practices
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage large volumes of data and work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
