Position Status: Regular, Full-time and Part-Time (1.0 - 0.8 FTE)

EFW Radiology owns and operates eleven community-based clinics providing Diagnostic Imaging, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Pain Management services.

The Role:

Ultrasound Technologists perform ultrasound examinations in an efficient and effective manner while providing exceptional patient care.

Reporting to: Ultrasound Supervisor.

Role Overview:

  • Ensures exceptional patient care and experience by performing various ultrasound exams (abdomen, Ob/Gyn, small parts, breast, and vascular).
  • Gathers relevant patient history and information for preparation.
  • Evaluates ultrasound images promptly to aid in diagnoses.
  • Completes accurate documentation for each scan.
  • Collaborates closely with Radiologists.
  • Maintains a positive work environment through professional conduct and strong teamwork.
  • Adheres to all privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates EFW values of Compassion, Trust, and Meaning in the workplace.
  • Undertakes additional duties as assigned.

You have the following:

  • Diploma or certificate from a recognized Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
  • Able to obtain a credentialed member of Sonography Canada with liability insurance.
  • Ability to scan entry level number of cases per day, consistently obtaining good quality images.
  • Committed to providing professional and compassionate patient care.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to give clear instructions and ask questions when needed.
  • Strong team player comfortable interacting with other team members and working independently
  • Logical, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Strong computer and keyboarding skills, including a working knowledge of RIS software (including PACS).
