Position Summary

The mission of Hope The Mission (HTM) is to prevent, reduce, and eliminate poverty, hunger, and homelessness by offering immediate assistance and long-term solutions. Our mission is to meet our participants' needs through an individualized and non-judgmental approach that will ultimately lead to long term housing stability.

The Entry Level IT Manager fulfills the mission of the Hope of The Mission by eliminating technology Risks for HTM and ensuring that all technology is in good working order and accessible to customers and staff.

The Entry Level IT Manager is responsible for installing hardware and software, troubleshooting all of the technology to eliminate Risk, responding to questions from employees, assisting third-party companies with risk elimination, such as camera/alarm systems, keeping inventory of all the essentials that team members need on day to day to ensure avoiding any risk that comes from delay such as having computers, iPhones, electronic hardware and software licenses, placing orders for accessories such as keyboards and equipment as needed. Maintains Apple and PC desktops, Apple laptops, various types of printers, etc...

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the company’s computer network.
  • Improve and maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops (Mac Apple), desktops, software, and hardware,
  • Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups.
  • Develop new network troubleshooting strategies to help reduce downtime and decrease maintenance costs.
  • Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly.
  • Construct and implement plans to ensure the company’s network continues operating smoothly in case of a problem.
  • Lead remediation efforts for gaps in security and networking.
  • Work closely with other department managers to assess the growth needs and maintenance of the company’s network.
  • Provide technical support.
  • Oversee the implementation of IT projects following business and IT strategy.
  • Define, track, and communicate IT key performance indicators, including shared business results achieved using information technology.
  • Establish and follow an adaptive and agile portfolio management process focused on continuously introducing new features and functionality, whether minor enhancements or larger projects.
  • Working in one or more access control platform(s) to manage employee access.
  • Issuing access control keycards.
  • Onboarding, offboarding, and auditing access control cards and records.
  • Managing access control levels based on employee type/access needs.
  • Maintenance and day-to-day management of physical security operations systems.
  • Assisting in troubleshooting and vendor management related to video management systems and alarms.
  • Acting as the primary contact for time-sensitive needs related to access control.
  • Problem identification and problem-solving within the security systems environment.
  • Prioritizing workload and meeting deadlines.
  • Escalating emergency situations or other time-sensitive issues to department leadership.
  • Working with Product Development and leading concept/category reviews, label and claims development, and offering support for the team and customers and claims support with the assigned product such as (MacBooks, iPhones, Cameras, Printers, Security systems, etc..)

8. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs routinely and 75 lbs occasionally.

9. Communicate, receive and exchange ideas, information by means of the spoken and written word

10. Be mobile by moving oneself from place to place quickly and easily

11. Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers

12. Be able to have visual activity for (including, but not limited to); food prep, cleaning, stocking

13. Be able to enter buildings that may require climbing stairs.

14. Be periodically subjected to outside environmental conditions.

Work Environment:

The employee may be in contact with individuals and families in crisis who may be ill, using alcohol and drugs, and who may not be attentive to basic personal hygiene, health and safety practices. The employee may experience a number of unpleasant sensory demands associated with the clients use of alcohol and drugs, and lack of personal hygiene. The employee must be ready to respond quickly and effectively to many types of situations, including crisis situations and potentially hostile situations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate in an office setting. Sometimes work may become stressful when working under pressure.
