Job description

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Entry Level Electrical Tech to join our Fibrebond team in Minden, LA!
You will work an average of 54 hours per week (including OT) between 6 am - 4:30 pm.
The hourly range for this position is $18.15 - $20.57 per hour.

What you'll do:
The entry level Electrical Technician begins in Electrical Prefab learning basic electrical parts and safety. You will be introduced to both hand and power tools. Basic math skills must be demonstrated as well as a high attention to detail. You must be able to work in a manufacturing environment on your feet all day while you shadow and assist within established electrical crews. You will be expected to gain knowledge in blueprint reading and train on beginning electrical skills such as installation of conduit and electrical components.
Fibrebond, an Eaton company, designs and manufactures pre integrated modular buildings and power enclosures that protect mission critical equipment for data center, industrial, utility, and communications customers. Headquartered in Minden, Louisiana, Fibrebond is known for its engineered to order solutions that support complex infrastructure projects across North America. In 2025, Fibrebond was acquired by Eaton, expanding Eaton's modular solutions portfolio while preserving Fibrebond's strong engineering expertise, customer focus, and manufacturing operations in Louisiana.
In this role, you will:
• Use a tape measure effectively.
• Prepare and kit electrical parts.
• Stock and set up electrical wire carts.
• Install and cover receptacles and switches.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by crew leader or supervisor.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Some electrical experience in a construction or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
Skills:
• Basic shop math skills and the ability to read and use a tape measure.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints.
• Must possess a strong, verifiable track record of attendance and punctuality.
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of trade secrets.
• Energetic and willing to follow established policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to wear PPE such as protective eyewear, hearing protection, and steel toes boots with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs., work from a ladder including ascending and descending, stand for long periods of time, bend, crouch, use manual dexterity to grasp and manipulate objects with precise small movements with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
