You will collaborate closely with bedside teams to evaluate complex cases, implement evidence-based ID best practices, guide antimicrobial management, and support early identification of clinical deterioration. Using your infectious disease expertise, you will help streamline care, reduce unnecessary antibiotic exposure, guide stewardship initiatives, and improve outcomes for both medical and surgical patients.

Conduct proactive rounding with hospital teams to provide early input on infectious concerns or patients at high risk for deterioration. Review EMR data, laboratory trends, imaging, vital signs, and decision-support tools to deliver high-quality ID consultative care.

Assist hospitals in adhering to ID-related quality measures, including sepsis bundle adherence, source‐control optimization, and appropriate antimicrobial usage. Communicate complex infectious disease recommendations in a clear, timely, and supportive manner. Promote strong site relationships through reliability, clinical excellence, and collaborative engagement.

Requirements Ability to effectively present clinical findings and respond to questions from onsite care teams, hospital leadership, and interdisciplinary partners. Comfort working both independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment. Prior telemedicine or remote consult experience preferred, but not required.

Strong proactive communication and responsiveness. ACLS certification preferred (depending on site needs). Reliable high‐speed home internet.

Ability to participate in 12‐hour tele‐consult shifts as assigned (flexible scheduling available). Strong understanding of antimicrobial stewardship principles, infection control practices, and ID‐related quality measures.

Ability to interpret complex diagnostic results and synthesize actionable plans. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High proficiency in EMR navigation, documentation, and telehealth technologies.

Skillful clinical decision‐making, critical thinking, and prioritization in a remote consultative model. Education & Certification Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine. Board‐Certification or Board‐Eligibility in Infectious Disease.
