Pacor, Inc. is hiring an Entry-Level Industrial Sewer at our Gastonia, NC facility. We fabricate custom insulation blankets and covers used in industrial applications. If you have manufacturing experience and want to learn a new skill, we will train you.


What You’ll Do:

  • Learn to operate industrial sewing machines
  • Measure, cut, and assemble insulation materials and fabrics
  • Fabricate insulation blankets and covers to specifications
  • Read and follow work instructions and measurements
  • Inspect finished products for quality
  • Keep your work area clean and organized

What We’re Looking For:

  • Manufacturing, production, or warehouse experience preferred
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately
  • Willingness to learn industrial sewing (paid training provided)
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Reliable and able to work on a team

Requirements:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent general education degree
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions in English
  • Use and read a ruler to within 1/16 of an inch
  • Accurately complete basic math skills including calculating linear/square footage and work with fractions using a calculator.
  • Use a computer to understand blueprints and read work orders.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance, on a regular basis.
  • Previous manufacturing/machine operation experience

Physical Demands: The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an

employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, and kneel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and on occasion lift and/or move 50 pounds, with or without the use of material handling equipment. The employee must have average manual dexterity. The employee must have average vision, with or without correction. The employee must have the ability to communicate.
