Shipping Operations Associate 1

The Shipping Associate 1 position is an entry-level position in which specific tasks will be explained and expected to be followed. Training for various types of packing will be given and the Shipping Associate 1 will then need to successfully perform those tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Properly pack and identify tote and tool contents.
  • Perform packing procedures relevant to proper containerization of mills for transport.
  • Uses construction type tools and equipment with ease.
  • Dependable in attendance, learning, and performance.
  • Works closely with Supervisors, and Co-Workers.
  • Can physically perform job duties.
  • Must be able to operate both powered and non-powered material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jack, cranes, and mobile straddle stacker lift.
  • Employees must report any damage to a supervisor or manager.

• Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to escalate any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc.

• Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures and policies.

  • Maintains an active Haas Forklift certification.
