Job description

Charlotte Metro | Patriot Freight Group

Build Your Own Book. Compete in the Market, Not Against Your Coworkers.

This role is for builders, competitors, and people who want their performance to directly influence their

future.

At Patriot Freight Group, we believe competition belongs in the marketplace. You should be competing to win customers, solve problems, grow relationships, and build a profitable book of business -- not fighting dozens or hundreds of coworkers internally for the same accounts.

Our model is built around clear account ownership and a team that helps each other win.

If you are competitive, coachable, resilient, comfortable picking up the phone, and motivated by the opportunity to build something of your own, keep reading.

You do not need logistics experience.

We can teach you freight. We can teach you systems, operations, prospecting, negotiation, customer

development, and how to manage a profitable book of business.

What we cannot teach is drive, urgency, accountability, resilience, and the desire to compete.

We Don't Just Hire Account Executives. We Develop Them.

You will enter Patriot Freight Group's structured First 90 Days Account Executive Development Program.

We are not going to hand you a phone on Day 1 and tell you to figure it out. You will learn how the business

actually works before being expected to build one.

Your development includes:

Freight fundamentals and equipment

Customer and carrier communication

Carrier sourcing and negotiation

Live freight operations

Prospecting and customer development fundamentals

Margin and profitability

Building and managing a more profitable book of business

You will work through defined development milestones with hands-on training, mentorship, coaching, and

formal progress reviews.

Build Your Book Without Fighting Your Team for It

Large sales organizations can create another layer of competition: hundreds of salespeople trying to identify and claim the same prospects internally. That is not the environment we want at Patriot.

We believe in clear account ownership, collaboration, and accountability.

Your teammates should help you win business, not compete with you for the customer you are developing.

You will have to outperform competitors in the marketplace. But the person sitting next to you should be part of

your team.

Our mission:

Empowered people, proven processes, and modern technology delivering dependable logistics outcomes for our customers, carriers, and our team.

What You'll Do

Prospect and develop new customers

Build and manage your own book of business

Develop long term customer and carrier relationships

Negotiate rates and protect margin

Coordinate freight from pickup through delivery

Solve real time transportation problems

Manage profitability and account growth

Who We're Looking For

Our strongest candidates don't all come from the same background. They may come from sales, competitive sports, the military, hospitality, restaurants, customer service, or other environments where they learned to perform under pressure.

The exact background matters less than the characteristics.

You may be a strong fit if you are:

Competitive and motivated by results

Comfortable making calls and starting conversations

Resilient when you hear "no"

Coachable and willing to follow a proven process

Motivated by performance-based earning potential

Someone who takes initiative and wants to build a long-term career

Our current compensation structure includes:

Up to 25% commission earning opportunity

Paid training and development

Opportunity to substantially increase earnings as you build a profitable book of business

Strong performers have the opportunity to build six-figure earning careers. Your earning potential grows with the book of business you build.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

College degree preferred, but not required

Strong professional references preferred

Previous sales, hospitality, restaurant, customer service, athletics, military, leadership, or other competitive experience is a plus

Ability to work in a fast-paced, phone-heavy, performance-driven environment

Schedule

Initially, this role works Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST in the office.

As your book develops, your responsibilities increasingly reflect the needs of the customers and business you build.

Our Core Values define what we expect from everyone at Patriot:

Accountability Own it.

Integrity Do the right thing whether someone is watching or not.

Resilience Learn, adjust, overcome, and keep moving.

Ready to Build Something?

If you're hungry, competitive, coachable, and ready to take ownership of your career, Patriot Freight Group gives you the training, support, and opportunity to build something of your own.

Build your book. Build your career. Build your future.
