Description:

Job Purpose:

The Crew Scheduler is responsible for ensuring all flights are properly staffed with qualified and current crew members in compliance with FAA regulations and company policies. This role plays a key part in maintaining operational efficiency by managing crew assignments, monitoring duty time limitations, and coordinating travel logistics. The Crew Scheduler serves as a central communication point between departments to support smooth flight operations. 


Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Ensure all flights are fully staffed with current and qualified crew members in compliance with 14 CFR 121.500 and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  •  Monitor flights throughout assigned shift to ensure duty time limitations are not exceeded.
  •  Manage operational disruptions and solve them in a proactive manner.
  •  Running a daily violation report for weekly schedules.
  •  Ensure effective utilization of crew members.
  •  Demonstrate expected behavior as well as the ability to remain calm and even-tempered during stressful situations. Maintain a “customer friendly” attitude when communicating with Crewmembers and other Company personnel.
  •  Ensure completion of daily shift checklists.
  •  Interface with other departments to adequately plan and coordinate assignments for crewmembers for all flights.
  •  Ensure crewmember placement for all flights.
  •  Book, monitor and cancel travel, hotels and ground transportation based on company needs, while monitoring and mitigating travel costs.
  •  Perform other duties as assigned by the Crew Scheduling Manager based on operational needs. 
Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities using company systems, including FlyPal or similar crew management software.
  •  Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  •  Strong verbal and written communications skills. 
  •  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  •  Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and make sound decisions quickly. 
  •  Strong customer service orientation and collaborative team player.
  •  High school diploma or equivalent required.


Physical Requirements:

  • Light work: Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  •  Able to sit or stand for extended periods.
  •  Flexibility to work various shifts, including evening, weekends, holidays, and eligible overtime
