On-site | Springfield, OH Position Summary

Our client is seeking a Fixed Assets Accountant to manage the full fixed asset accounting lifecycle across multiple entities. The Fixed Assets Accountant will oversee asset records, reconciliations, depreciation, reporting, and month-end close activities while leveraging a Cloud-based ERP.

Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle fixed assets accounting, including additions, transfers, retirements, depreciation, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate fixed assets records and ensure GAAP compliance.
  • Utilize a Cloud-based ERP for asset management, reporting, and account reconciliations.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
  • Prepare schedules and analyses to support financial reporting.
  • Identify process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
  • The Fixed Assets Accountant will assist with audit requests and fixed asset documentation.
  • Help train team members on fixed asset accounting best practices.
Qualifications

Required

  • Experience as a Fixed Assets Accountant or in a similar fixed assets accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of fixed asset accounting, reconciliations, and depreciation.
  • Experience with a Cloud-based ERP.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, formulas, and financial reporting add-ins.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in large, asset-intensive organizations.
  • Experience training or mentoring others.
  • Process improvement and internal controls experience.
