BE THE CEO OF YOUR JOB

As the Staff Accountant, you are responsible for effectively performing month-end balance sheet reconciliations and monthly fixed asset tasks. This position assists in year-end audit requests and compiling of financial packages.


YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in year-end audit requests.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for fixed assets, accumulated depreciation and related accounts.
  • Reconcile the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger on a monthly basis. 
  • Assist with periodic physical inventories of fixed assets and research discrepancies.
  • Run monthly depreciation.
  • Assist job cost for all construction.
  • Process fixed asset additions, transfers, disposals, and other asset changes in the fixed asset system. 
  • Prepare monthly fixed asset rollforwards and supporting schedules. 
  • Follow established accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls related to fixed assets. 
  • Assist with fixed asset system maintenance, data cleanup, and reporting. 
  • Support process improvement initiatives and other accounting projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED


Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.

Experience and/or Training

  • Considerable knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.

Technology/Equipment

  • Yardi or Sage experience preferred; Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT

  • U.S. Work Authorization (required).
