We are seeking an enthusiastic entry-level Fire Extinguisher Technician to join our dedicated team and make a difference by helping protect lives, property, and our valued customers. This is your chance to provide outstanding customer service while building valuable skills in a growing industry.

At Viking Fire Protection Group, we place trust in our team, and you will experience this supportive environment when working with us. As a Fire Extinguisher Technician with VFPG, your primary responsibilities will be to inspect and test fire extinguishers in a variety of facilities, identifying extinguishers needing maintenance, completing the necessary reports, and serving as the direct liaison to our customers. Below you will find more detailed information. 

Responsibilities:

  • Completing inspections, maintenance, and recharging of extinguishers shall be certified.
  • Accurately complete all fire extinguisher inspection paperwork on time
  • When an inspection of any fire extinguisher reveals a deficiency in any of the conditions in 7.2.2 or 7.2.2.4, immediate corrective action shall be taken.
  • Perform thorough inspections every time and in a timely manner.
  • Being a team player.
  • Customer satisfaction is a must.
  • On the job training will be provided

Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of NPFA codes and standards (specifically NFPA 10)
  • Ability to lift up to 50  lbs
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Ability to work in often dirty environments
  • Valid state driver license able to pass MVR screening
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Pay Range: 

  • $20/hr - $25/hr (prior experience will be strongly considered)
