Job description

Fire Watch Services is hiring dependable individuals for Emergency On-Call Fire Watch Agent positions. These assignments are designed to cover emergency staffing needs and often require workers to be available on short notice.

Position Overview

As a Fire Watch Agent, you will monitor commercial or industrial properties to help ensure there are no signs of fire or other fire hazards while a fire protection system is impaired or otherwise required by the client.

Assignments may range from:

  • 12-hour shifts
  • 24-hour shifts
  • Multiple days or several weeks, depending on the client’s needs

Most shifts involve remaining on-site and monitoring the property. You will spend the majority of your shift inside your personal vehicle while maintaining observation of the premises.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor assigned property for signs of fire or smoke.
  • Immediately call 911 if a fire or emergency occurs.
  • Notify company management after contacting emergency services.
  • Remain alert and on-site for the duration of your assigned shift.
  • Follow all client and company procedures.

Requirements

  • Reliable transportation (required)
  • Working mobile phone with texting and calling capabilities
  • Ability to respond to emergency assignments on short notice
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional
  • No prior Fire Watch experience required—we will provide instructions before your assignment.
