Job description

For over 25 years, Quick Response Fire Protection has proudly provided the design, installation, maintenance, inspections and repairs of fire protection systems within the tri-state area. Along the way, Quick Response has grown to become the largest provider of fire protection systems in the state of New Jersey, providing fire protection services to all industries and property types.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Fire Alarm Technician/Installer to join our team in Freehold, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and inspection of fire alarm systems to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role involves working closely with various types of fire safety equipment, interpreting technical manuals, and ensuring that systems function correctly to protect lives and property.
Responsibilities:
  • Follow blueprints for the installation of fire alarm systems
  • Lead others to ensure work is performed correctly
  • Work in a team environment and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Communicate with clients in a professional manner
  • Trouble shooting and repairing installed systems. Including panel repair/reprogram, device replacement/repair, resolving circuit troubles and system testing
  • Complete and process all necessary paperwork for installations and service calls via tablet
  • On call rotation is required

Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience preferred, with demonstrated aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs.
  • Knowledge of various fire alarm systems
  • Experience programing fire alarm systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends (OT PAY when applicable) to meet customer requirements
  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and always follow safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service
  • Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Capable of working overhead on a ladder
  • Self-starter that can work with little to no supervision
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly
