Job description

1st and 3rd Shift Extrusion Operators
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Extrusion Team Leader
Speed North America is seeking entry level extrusion operators for our expanding operations. Bring your talent and efforts to contribute to growing your career and share in our success. We want to be the best, so we are looking for the best to join our team.
Company paid training provided for entry level associates.

*Hourly shift differential for 3rd shift operators

Skill/Abilities:
  • Mechanical knowledge of pulleys, gears, and general machine function/operation.
  • Good physical condition, able to lift upwards of 60 lbs.
  • Promote and maintain a collaborative attitude and behavior.
  • Ability to follow instruction and SPEED’s standards.
  • Ability to follow OSHA and SPEED safety Guidelines.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented work environment.
Specific Duties, but not limited to:
  • Maintain machine parameters based on posted set up sheet.
  • Perform quality checks of assigned production lines.
  • Ensure all materials are correct per production line, based on posted work order.
  • Maintain adequate material levels in all hoppers per production line.
  • Proper blending and mixing of any specialty materials.
  • Practice good housekeeping in assigned area. This includes floor, machines, etc.
  • Proper changing, labeling, recording, and weighing of all spools and scrap produced on each line.
  • Assist all fellow extrusion department employees as needed to maintain production.
