Blaster / Blasting Assistant โ€“ Entry-Level Opportunity Location: Lead, South Dakota Company: Buckley Powder Company

Buckley Powder Company is seeking a dedicated, long-term team member to join our operations in the explosives industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career and grow within a specialized field.

Position Overview: As a Blasting Assistant, you will support all aspects of the blasting process. This hands-on role requires a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily blasting operations

  • Support loading, transporting, and handling of explosives

  • Operate equipment and vehicles as needed

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Qualifications:

  • Experience with blasting or truck operation is a plus

  • Commercial Driverโ€™s License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsements is highly desirable

  • Must be able to lift and move up to 60 lbs

  • Clean driving record: no more than 3 violations in the past 3 years and no DUIs in the past 4 years

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Monday through Friday schedule, with occasional weekend work as needed

  • Salary is based on experience and work history
