An entry-level event coordinator oversees planning for a special event. In this job, your duties include meeting with your client to define their needs and goals. You make a plan and present it to the client for approval and then create a budget and coordinate with vendors and staff to ensure that everything happens as planned. Entry-level coordinators can assist experienced event planners while they gain experience. Your responsibilities also include working to manage the event as it is happening. Event coordinators can work on meetings, conferences, corporate gatherings, weddings, private parties, or promotional and marketing events.
