Job Summary

This position is responsible for clinical/business systems analysis, data management, technical support, maintenance, application and configuration, quality improvement, user support, implementation and standards and regulation of the Clinical and Business Systems throughout the organization. Responsible for all aspects of systems planning, development, and implementation including new systems, systems upgrades and enhancements. Responsible for providing analyst leadership and direction, as well as project management for small to medium sized projects. Responsible for the development and support of a stable, reliable, and customer-oriented clinical/business system and applications that meet the needs of users and the organization.

Epic Cadence or Epic Prelude Certification or Accreditation is required, although certification or accrediation for both Cadence and Prelude is strongly desired. The Epic Cadence Enterprise Scheduling and Prelude Registraton Analyst will assist in the development, configuration, functionality rollout, and long-term support of the Epic Electronic Health Record system and other supporting IT systems for our end-users. The Cadence Enterprise Scheduling Analyst assists health systems in optimizing their workflow processes through building applications that are tailored to meet the health system’s needs. They will learn Epic EHR system capabilities and functional use, and apply their knowledge of Patient Care Business workflow to assist in the implementation, testing, go-live, and long-term support. They will serve as a subject matter expert in their assigned applications, and provide leadership on small and medium size projects with minimal oversight. Applicants would benefit from an understanding of the operational practices of scheduling, payer authorization, including nuances of provider schedules, scheduling practices for certain types of visits, and how these practices relate to the medical record flow for appointments, as well as knowledge of areas that integrate with Cadence/Prelude,including checkin, registration, benefits, referrals,PCP assignment, and orders. Experience with Real Time Eligibility is desired but not required.  Analyst will focus on Cadence Enterprise Scheduling, Prelude Registation, Referals modules. 

*We are currently looking for applicants who are already Epic certified. 

*Hybrid Position - Team members expected to be onsite in the office three (3) business days per week and the option to work remotely on other days. This schedule and arrangement may be subject to change based on business needs.

*Position is located in Sarasota, Florida


Required Qualifications

- Requires knowledge of the patient care setting and clinical practice, either by profession or experience.
- Require Associate Degree in Information Systems, Informatics, Business Administration, Nursing or appropriate clinical or business field. Relevant work experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for required degree.
- Require three (3) years of applicable clinical/business experience, preferably in a multi-entity health care system, large hospital, physician office, or managed care organization. Bachelor degree in a related field may substitute for up to two (2) years of required experience.


Preferred Qualifications

- Prefer ability to troubleshoot and document multi-system issues.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to implement test plans, create reports and train end-users.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer-focused service to resolve end user production issues.
- Prefer familiarity with Microsoft Office and software packages.
- Prefer general conceptual knowledge of networks, servers and databases.
- Position may require at least one Software Certification in job area of focus.
