Summary
The Junior Business Support Specialist supports day-to-day operations of enterprise applications and system integrations. This entry-level role focuses on basic application support, user assistance, and system administration under the guidance of senior team members. The position is intended for candidates with 1-2 years of experience and foundational knowledge of ERP systems, procurement tools, EDI concepts, and basic API testing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide first-level application and business systems support for procurement and operational tools.
• Assist users with basic troubleshooting, access requests, and system navigation.
• Support ERP-related activities including data validation, simple uploads, and issue escalation.
• Assist in monitoring and resolving EDI inbound and outbound transaction issues.
• Support basic EDI mapping reviews, updates, and documentation.
• Assist with supplier onboarding activities including system setup and data verification.
• Perform basic API testing and data validation using tools such as Postman.
• Document common issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in testing of system enhancements, updates, and integrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and escalate complex issues as needed.
Education and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in application support, business systems support, IT operations, or a related role.
• Exposure to ERP or procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, Priority, or similar) preferred.
Skills and Competencies
• Basic understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
• Foundational knowledge of ERP systems and business applications.
• Introductory understanding of EDI concepts and data exchange formats (CSV, XML, JSON).
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work under guidance in a team environment.
Computer and Technical Skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
• Experience with system configuration, workflow automation, and Active Directory access management.
• Working knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
Language Skills
• Proficiency in English (verbal, reading, and written communication).
Preferred Qualifications
