We are seeking a Sales Leadership Development Role / Entry Level for our Smyrna, TN (Wesanco-ZSI) Plant.

Summary:

The Sales Leadership Development Trainee program is designed to develop high-potential candidates for future sales leaders within Wesanco-ZSI. This 12–24 month rotational program provides hands-on experience across key commercial functions, including customer service, quoting, inside sales, and product support.

Trainees will build a strong foundation in our products, markets, and customers while developing the technical, commercial, and leadership skills required to transition into a Regional Sales Manager role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Wesanco-ZSI products, applications, and target markets.
  • Support day-to-day customer interactions through customer service and inside sales functions.
  • Prepare and manage product quotations, pricing, and order follow-up.
  • Collaborate with sales, product management, and operations teams to support customer needs.
  • Assist in identifying sales opportunities and supporting lead generation efforts.
  • Participate in training on sales strategy, negotiation, and account management.
  • Analyze customer data, sales trends, and market activity to support decision-making.
  • Deliver presentations and product training to internal teams and external partners.
  • Support regional sales managers and manufacturer representatives as needed.

Development Path:

  • Phase 1 (0–12 months): Customer service, quoting, and inside sales support
  • Phase 2 (12–24 months): Increased exposure to field sales, customer visits, and account management
  • Post-Program: Transition into Regional Sales Manager, managing a defined territory and customer base
  • Travel Requirement: Up to 50% travel once transitioned into Regional Sales Manager role

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Entrepreneurship, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of professional experience.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Willingness to learn technical products and industrial applications.
