Location: Preferably local to Spruce Grove, Alberta
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day

Position Summary
Option Excavating Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant (Accounting) to support our accounting and administrative teams.
This is an entry-level position with a primary focus on Accounts Payable, while also providing general administrative, employee documentation, and office support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on accounting experience and develop a career within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Accounts Payable
- Process and enter invoices, receipts, and other financial information.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation.
- Follow up with employees, project teams, and vendors regarding missing information or discrepancies.
- Communicate professionally with vendors regarding invoices and payments.
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records.
- Assist with employee expense reports and corporate credit card transactions.
- Assist with month-end, year-end, audits, and other accounting activities.
- Assist with accounting software, reporting, and job costing as required.
Administrative Support
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
- Assist with scanning, filing, document preparation, and data entry.
- Assist with employee onboarding, time tracking, and employee documentation.
- Assist with general office duties and other administrative tasks.
