General Purpose of Job

The Manager, Analytics, Data Engineering & Governance supports the administration, governance, and operational enablement of audience and marketing data platforms used across Quad’s Direct Marketing and analytics environments.

This role combines hands-on Snowflake administration, data governance coordination, and third-party data enablement to ensure data is secure, compliant, and accessible for approved business use. The individual partners across analytics, engineering, legal, compliance, and account teams to support the effective use of audience data within direct marketing programs and regulated client environments.

The role is particularly important in supporting environments that require strong controls around sensitive data, including Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Protected Health Information (PHI), and other regulated data assets

Please note: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship, including F-1 visa holders requiring CPT, OPT, or future H-1B sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future immigration sponsorship.

Snowflake Administration & Data Enablement 

  • Administer and support Snowflake environments used for audience data, analytics, and marketing programs.
  • Manage
    • User access and permissions
    • Role-based security controls
    • Data organization and environment structures
  • Support ingestion and organization of third-party and licensed data within Snowflake.
  • Partner with analytics and engineering teams to ensure data availability and usability for downstream processes. 
  • Help troubleshoot data access, governance, and platform-related issues. 

Data Governance & Compliance Support 

  • Support governance processes related to audience, client, and marketing data usage
  • Help ensure compliance with: 
    • Data licensing agreements 
    • Internal governance standards 
    • Privacy regulations and client-specific requirements
  • Assist in maintaining documentation related to data access, usage approvals, and governance procedures. 
  • Support operational readiness for audits and compliance reviews. 

Sensitive Data Management (PII / PHI) 

  • Support secure handling and governance of: 
    • Personally Identifiable Information (PII) 
    • Protected Health Information (PHI) 
    • Other sensitive or regulated client data 
  • Ensure appropriate controls are applied to sensitive datasets, including access restrictions and approved usage practices. 
  • Partner with compliance and security teams to support high-compliance client environments and data protection requirements.
  • Help ensure data workflows align with organizational and regulatory security standards. 

Audit & Compliance Readiness 

  • Support governance activities related to: 
    • SOC 2 compliance
    • Client data audits 
    • Internal security reviews
  • Maintain and organize documentation supporting audit readiness and data governance controls. 
  • Assist in validating that data access, retention, and usage practices align with established standards and policies.
  • Support remediation and follow-up activities related to governance or compliance findings.

Data Partnerships & Integration

  • Support onboarding and operational integration of third-party data providers.
  • Maintain documentation of partner data attributes, usage rights, and applicable use cases.
  • Ensure partner data is properly governed and aligned with allowable usage terms.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support compliant and effective use of partner data

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Job Requirements

  • 5+years of experience in data operations, data governance, marketing data environments, or related roles
  • Hands-on experience supporting Snowflake or similar cloud-based data platforms
  • Experience working with sensitive or regulated data environments preferred.
  • Exposure to third-party data, audience data, or marketing analytics
