POSITION:
The Data Analyst I supports data governance, reporting standards, and analytics best practices while upholding integrity and privacy across the data ecosystem and lifecycle. This position collects, cleans, and organizes data from multiple sources, analyzing data to uncover patterns, trends, and insights. The Data Analyst I creates reports and dashboards to support business operations and strategic decisions and collaborates with business units to define metrics and monitor performance This position reports to the Data Scientist and provides excellent service and support to team members and customers while demonstrating the Company values and supporting the mission.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support data governance, reporting standards, and analytics best practices while upholding integrity and privacy across the data ecosystem and lifecycle
  • Collect, clean, and organize data from multiple sources
  • Analyze data to uncover patterns, trends, and insights
  • Create reports and dashboards to support business operations and strategic decisions
  • Collaborate with business units to define metrics and monitor performance
  • Utilize tools such as SQL, Excel, and Power BI for analysis and visualization
  • Validate data accuracy and verify reporting integrity
  • Maintain data system compliance with banking regulations and internal procedures and processes Present findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable format
  • Support ad-hoc reporting needs across business units
  • Recommend improvements to data processes and reporting efficiency
  • Participate in training or cross-functional initiatives as needed
  • Complete special projects as assigned by Director of Data & Analytics or department leadership
  • Adhere to compliance with all federal bank regulations and laws, including those for consumer protection and the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program
  • Participate in outside community activities as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, information systems, finance, business administration or related field
  • 1 year of experience in banking, lending, IT or related field
  • Experience in the banking industry with a focus on reporting, data, or utilizing data metrics, preferred
  • Proficient with database languages such as SQL
  • Familiar with analytical languages such as Python or R
  • Familiar with business intelligence tools like Cognos, Query, Power BI
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard software applications
  • Familiar with data privacy regulations and compliance best practices
  • Understanding of data modeling and business metrics
  • Ability to solve moderately complex data problems independently and provide proactive updates to their leadership team
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to achieve results in alignment with strategic priorities
  • Ability to lead and influence discussions across a variety of stakeholders to achieve results, proactively address sources of conflict, and communicate changes that may not be aligned with the original expectations
  • Ability to foster a team environment through transparency and collaboration
