CNC Machine Operator Entry-Level

We’re looking for a CNC Machine Operator early in their career and looking to join a team where they can expand their machining skills. Our CNC Machine Operators work on high-quality metal components designed in-house. You’ll gain experience on mills and lathes, expand your knowledge of G&M-codes and learn setups.

Full Time – Non-exempt: Monday – Thursday “4/10” schedule with 6am start time

Reports to: Manufacturing Manager

Salary Range: $18 - 20 based on experience

What You’ll Do:

  • Load, Unload, Start and Stop Machines.
  • Monitor machine progress to maintain production.
  • Perform in-process inspection of manufactured parts.
  • Monitor tool wear and make machine offsets to assure parts are of the proper size as manufactured.
  • Perform daily machine maintenance including maintaining oil and coolant levels.
  • Responsible for the upkeep and cleaning of work area, shop and finishing area.
  • Other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

Qualifications We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-year experience running CNC Machines or training on CNC Machine operation with certification.
  • Good mechanical skills, including experience with work tools such as micrometers, calipers, gage pins, rulers, computers.
  • Familiar with reading technical drawings and understanding specifications.
  • Reliability, teamwork and a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrate good problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to repetitively lift 30+ pounds.
  • Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
  • Ability to understand and learn company terminology.
