Job description

Job Summary:  The Continuous Improvement Manager  leads cross-functional initiatives to improve operational performance, patient flow, and service excellence across clinical and non-clinical areas through the effective use of people, processes, and technology. This role partners with supervisors, managers, directors, AVPs, and executive leadership to identify opportunities, analyzes performance data, and implements sustainable process improvements. The Continuous Improvement Manager  performs data analysis, root cause analysis, and performance trending to develop and implement appropriate process improvements and control measures. The role is responsible for end-to-end project execution, including scoping, stakeholder engagement, implementation, and post-implementation monitoring to ensure initiatives meet defined timelines and performance expectations, while coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and resources to successfully deliver project outcomes.  Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree required. Master's level degree preferred. Minimum of three years work experience in a healthcare related field, including a basic level of knowledge and understanding of clinical process and workflow, required. Three years direct work experience in a process improvement or project management capacity, including all aspects of project delivery, preferred.   Experience with Epic is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and documentation skills, with the ability to plan, organize and execute technical and analytical work. Strong project management skills and able to influence outcomes across multidisciplinary teams without direct authority.  Able to use project planning software, spreadsheets, Powerpoint and word processing software; input data, typing, copying, and effective use of the telephone, operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
Licensures and Certifications: Valid driver's license required at the time of hire. Certification in Project Management from Project Management Institute (PMP or CAPM), International Institute for Learning (APMC), or American Academy of Project Management preferred. Six-Sigma Certification preferred.
