Job description

CSR Engineering is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer to be based in one of our three TN office locations: Pleasant View, Lebanon, Shelbyville. This position is expected to begin no later than March of 2026.The Entry-Level Structural Engineer will support our Structural and Rail engineering services.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Computer-aided design and drafting of buildings and bridges using tools including, but not limited to AutoCAD, Civil3D, etc…
  • Organize and prepare reports, maps, drawings, tests, and other data to plan and design projects.
  • Field work including bridge inspections, structural reviews, and construction inspection.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field with a concentration in structures.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License
  • Ability to perform field duties as they arise.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated experience using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation for engineering-related projects including railroad structures, highway bridges, retaining walls, and buildings.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred (not required)
  • Strong organizational, technical, and communications skills
  • Commitment to working efficiently to complete tasks within allotted schedule constraints.
