Description

The IT Specialist  is responsible for supporting QuickBox technology operations by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting computer hardware, software, network systems, user equipment, and related technology needs across assigned locations. 


This position provides day-to-day IT support to employees, assists with system setup and upgrades, supports network administration tasks, resolves hardware and software issues, and helps ensure technology systems meet operational and business needs. The IT Systems Specialist may support office, warehouse, and remote technology needs, including workstations, printers, scanners, handheld devices, user access, software applications, and other IT-related equipment or systems.

The IT Specialist is responsible for supporting QuickBox technology operations by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting computer hardware, software, network systems, user equipment, and related technology needs across assigned locations. 

The role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, professionalism, customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with users, site leadership, vendors, and the IT team.


Requirements

Essential Duties & Job Functions:
  1. Install, configure, maintain, and support computer hardware, software, and related IT components. 
  2. Set up workstations, laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, scanners, phones, and other user equipment as needed. 
  3. Assist with software installation, updates, troubleshooting, and user support. 
  4. Evaluate IT systems, equipment, and tools to ensure they meet operational and business needs.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve employee IT support issues related to hardware, software, system access, connectivity, printers, scanners, and other technology tools.
  6. Assist with network administration tasks, including basic connectivity support, device setup, and escalation of network-related issues.
  7. Support day-to-day IT operations for office and warehouse environments. 
  8. Support hardware failures, new hardware installations, replacement needs, and purchasing or ordering of IT equipment as assigned.
  9. Assist with account setup, password resets, access issues, multi-factor authentication, email setup, and other user access needs
  10. Support warehouse technology, including printers, label printers, scanners, handheld devices, workstations, and other operational equipment. 
  11. Educate employees on basic network security, technology usage, and best practices for computer and system access.
  12. Document issues, resolutions, equipment updates, and support activity as required.
  13. Escalate complex IT issues to the appropriate IT leadership, vendor, or support partner when needed. 
  14. Partner with site leadership to understand operational technology needs and provide timely support. 
  15. Coordinate with vendors or third-party support providers for equipment repairs, installations, troubleshooting, or service needs as assigned. 
  16. Assist with tracking, organizing, and maintaining IT assets, equipment, and related inventory. 
  17. Support technology projects, upgrades, system implementations, and process improvements as assigned.
  18.  Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling employee, business, system, or access-related information. 
  19. Communicate IT updates, issues, delays, risks, or support needs to leadership in a timely manner.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned. 
Job Qualifications Mandatory
  1. High school diploma or equivalent. 
  2. Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills. 
  3. Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, access, printer, scanner, and basic network-related issues. 
  4. Working knowledge of computer hardware, software applications, operating systems, and basic network support. 
  5. Ability to install or upgrade hardware and software components. 
  6. Ability to communicate professionally with employees, leadership, vendors, and IT team members. 
  7. Strong customer service skills and ability to assist users with patience, professionalism, and urgency. 
  8. Ability to organize work, prioritize support needs, and manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment. 
  9. Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling system access, employee information, business information, and technology-related matters. 
  10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  11. Ability to work overtime, weekends, after-hours support, participate in an on-call rotation, and accommodate schedule changes as required by business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Degree or coursework in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. 
  2. Previous experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, systems support, or technical support. 
  3. Experience supporting warehouse, logistics, fulfillment, distribution, or 3PL technology environments. 
  4. Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related business applications. 
  5. Experience with Windows operating systems, user account setup, device configuration, and basic system administration. 
  6. Experience supporting printers, label printers, scanners, RF devices, handheld devices, or warehouse technology. 
  7. Basic knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, network security, and user access controls. 
  8. Experience working with vendors, service providers, or third-party technology partners.
