Position Overview:

We are seeking an Entry-level Civil Engineer to assist in the planning and execution of residential land development projects. This role is ideal for Civil Engineers with 0-2 years of residential land development experience who are interested in working with a dynamic team on exciting projects and alongside skilled consultants. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, cost-effective communities by collaborating with internal teams and external partners from concept through construction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate site plans and roadway and utility construction drawings for municipal code compliance, constructability, and value-engineering opportunities.
  • Design preliminary residential layouts, grading plans, and utility plans for project feasibility studies
  • Review and interpret technical reports, including geotechnical, traffic, and environmental studies.
  • Perform site assessments to verify existing conditions and proactively identify potential concerns or constraints.
  • Attend planning and zoning meetings to represent development interests and facilitate project approvals.
  • Maintain organized records of permits, plan approvals, due diligence materials, and ongoing project correspondence.
  • Review surveys and title documents to identify property constraints and mitigate project risks.
  • Collaborate with external engineering consultants to ensure accuracy of plans, alignment with project goals, and timely submittals.
  • Work closely with internal team members to meet project milestones, stay within budget, and uphold quality standards.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, problem-solving mindset and a strong eagerness to learn and grow within the role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • 0-2 years of experience in land development or a related field
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills.
