Job description

Associate Clinical Informaticist - Clinical Informatics

Description:

Education Requirements: Licensed Nurse in State of GA with minimum of Associates degree in Nursing preferred or other Healthcare related Clinical License. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare related field preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in healthcare with no experience in Healthcare IT needed. Previous management experience preferred.

Required Skills: - Ability to learn new concepts and handle frequent change.

- Analyze clinical data to identify trends, improve patient safety, and enhance quality of care.

- Assists with the integration of data, information, and clinical knowledge for clinical staff using the electronic health record, to support patient care decision making.

- Basic PC Skills, preferred

- Collaboration with clinical staff, IT professionals, stakeholders, and management to enhance data-driven decision-making, ensure that healthcare processes align with best practices, and to understand clinical needs and translate them into technical requirements.

- Communicate effectively with team members, and customers.

- Conducts workflow analyses and makes recommendations for change management strategies.

- Demonstrate a basic understanding and adheres to departmental processes for change control.

- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills.

- Maintains an entry level of cyber security knowledge sufficient to securely accomplish their job duties,

- Maintain good customer service and responsiveness.

- Microsoft Office- Word, Excel, Powerpoint knowledge preferred.

- Microsoft Office Visio knowledge preferred.

- Provides analysis, design, test scripts, or other supportive testing documentation, implementation, support and auditing through clinical information systems and applications to improve workflow and patient outcomes.

- Provide training and support to clinical staff on the use of information systems, technology tools, Cerner Millennium and other organization application systems.

- Self-motivated.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and attend multiple meetings.

- Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills. - On-Call as required. - Flexible hours when needed. - Other job duties as assigned.

Physical Demands: - Good physical and mental health. - Must be able to write and edit documents for all roles that require training and create job aids and other training materials. - Must be able to perform assigned duties using proper body mechanics to walk long distances within the hospital and surrounding patient care areas and sit for extended periods. - Must posses visual acuity with or without corrective lenses to read printed material, hearing ability with or without auditory aids to understand the normal speaking voice without viewing the speaker and speaking ability to ask and answer pertinent questions and relay information. - Must be able to work under stressful conditions and situations. - Must be able to lift, bend, and push without limitation using proper body mechanics. - Must be able to work under close supervision.
